“Say : ( O Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam) to these Mushrikun and Kafirun) : “O Al-Kafirun (Disbelievers in Allah, in his oneness, in his angels, in his books, in his messengers, in the day of resurrection, and in Al-Qadar)! (1) “I worship not that which you worship.” (2) “Nor will you worship that which I worship.” (3) “And I shall not worship that which you are worshipping.” (4) “Nor will you worship that which I worship.” (5) “To you be your religion, and to me my religion (Islam Monotheism).” (6) (QS. Al Kafirun: 1-6)

Vienna International Christian Islamic Summer University (VICISU) 2016 is still warm to re-remember. Met with the 40 best students from 16 countries in Europe and non-European course was a very remarkable occasion. Moreover, in a place so enchanting, Austria. Spending 15 hours of air travel from my country, Indonesia. Many things that I learned in foreign countries, not only the cultural diversity that is full of interests to be discussed, but the variety of religions that were so hard for me to understand, all chortled over his religion that Christianity was the true religion, including Islam. Indeed, one thing that made an impression in my mind until the end of the program that I did not need to force myself to be a Christian to respect the religion of others, and I did not need to force them to assume my religion entirely corrected to herd them into Islam, because, essentially Islam and Christianity both taught the truth. There was no denying that the view of Islam and Christianity against God have many similarities. Both viewed God as Sovereign, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, Glorified, Most Just, the Righteous. Both Islam and Christianity believe in the one God; Creator of all things. In this definition, Christians and Muslims worship the same God. At the same time, there were essential differences between Christianity and Islam in the eyes of God. Although Muslims regard God as having the attributes of love, merciful and full of grace, God did not reveal these attributes as
Christianity.

Question: I am a Muslim. Why should I consider becoming a Christian?
Three weeks to review all things about Islam and Christianity in the classroom was certainly a bit boring, but in my head to meet new people diverse culture and religion was to teach me more love islam without blaming other people believed religion. Interesting bit when I try to interact outside the classroom with other delegates from several countries are predominantly Christian and discussed more about their assumptions about Islam, and also they raised the same question. In this case, they consider Islam was a religion that complicated. Islam was basically a religion that was simple, not perplexing and confusing. Yet, Muslims were originally simple religion. Along with this statement, A famous hadith asserted, "al-dinu yusrun". Meaning: that religion is easy. In another hadith, the Prophet said, "yassiru wa la tu'assiru". That is: make it easy, do not be difficult for you. A verse in Surah Al-Hajj asserted, "wa ma ja'ala alaikum fi al-din min haraj" (Qur'an 22:78). Meaning: God will not cause any trouble in religion. Being a Muslim is easy: faith, good deeds, and live according to ethics. Being a good Muslim does not mean to follow MUI (Indonesian Ulama Council). Fatwa, in the tradition of fiqh (Islamic law) as we know it, is not something that is binding. Fatwas are opinions. We can come fatwa MUI, NU or Muhammadiyah, for example. But we can not feel the most correct itself with a particular fatwa. Here's the basics of being a Muslim is very simple. Again, being a Muslim is easy, and do not make with the opinions that add intricate and complicate our own. Opinions expressed may, of course, but ethics "tepa selira" or respect the opinions of others is also important.

With all this said, I do not want to blame the Muslims who deliberately want to make difficult of you. For example, there are a number of Muslims who feel Islam is not full if not wearing the veil of Arab style, or shut down the entire body even to the face, clothing "burqa" of Afghanistan style. Alternatively, there are some people who do not feel full if Islam is not a beard, dressed all in white, robe, or clothing the Arab style. Alternatively, there are people who do not feel full if Islam did not participate in an organization that is fighting Islamic caliphate (Islamic state or the empire of the world), for example. Alternatively, there are people who do not feel full if Islam does not believe that Muhammad was the last prophet, and therefore the Ahmadiyya to be misled. Demanded by Islam of us is to believe that Muhammad was a "messenger of God".

Through the VICISU program, I tried to understand my role as a good Muslim, more loved Islam as my religion and understood Islam and all its simplicity. In the end we must ask ourselves honestly: what is the main purpose of religion? Is the purpose of religion is the debating? Is not a shame if people professed to obey all, while in everyday life they would lead to noise and again, troublemakers in society, in the name of religion? Is there any point in such religious? Good religion will be reflected in the daily lives of its adherents. As the good seed will be reflected from the tree that appears thereof.

TOLERANSI DALAM KEBERAGAMAN

“We ought to think that we are one of the leaves of a tree, and the tree is all humanity. We cannot live without the others, without the tree.
